Term	Definition
Mob	From Everquest, short for 'Mobile Object'. A term that refers to exclusively killable monsters or enemies. Although player characters or NPCs might be technically considered mobs, the term is almost never used that way.
Pull	Generally speaking, when the tank of the group attacks a mob at range, bringing it back to the group.
Draw	See Pull.
Tank	In most MMOs, the character that attracts and keeps the attention of mobs. Generally speaking, this will be a plate-wearing warrior, paladin, or equivalent. Can also be used as a verb; "Can you tank this dungeon for us?"
WTF	Short for 'What the f*uck? A statement of surprise or outrage.
LFG	Short for 'Looking for Group'.
Hybrid	A character class that combines two distinct roles. A paladin, for example, is a combination of tank and healer.
Noob	Short for 'newbie', it indicates a new player. Can also be spelled 'newb', or even 'nub'.
Newb	See 'Noob'.
Nub	See 'Noob'. Note that Nub rhymes with 'boob', and not with 'club'.
Aggro	Aggro refers to how much a mob hates (and wants to kill) a particular player. A player that does a lot of damage will usually generate a lot of aggro. Conversely, a tanking class will have specific skills to keep aggro on himself.
Hate	See 'Aggro'.
Pet Class	Any class of character that has a combat pet. In World of Warcraft, both the hunter and warlock are pet classes.
Combat Pet	A pet used by a character class that fights alongside the player. Everquest necromancers, for example, have undead combat pets. This is in complete contrast to 'Vanity Pet'.
Vanity Pet	A pet that serves no purpose in-game. Many games offer vanity pets of various kinds. Purely decorative, they do not fight, heal, or help the player in any way. Contrast this with 'Combat Pet'.
