He’s a nerd, and like all nerds, when he gets bored he breaks junk and molds it into living technology ready to do his will and destroy enemies, hopefully with lasers.

The robot is named SAM10 and is currently limited to walking in straight lines, saying hello, and object collision. We assume any backflips have yet to be programmed in. Sam made the robot to try and get other young folks in Africa interested in Science. Awesome, we can always use more robots. That is… the non-self aware self replicating bent on human domination type.

They’ve made, and are even selling, NES Cartridge Harmonicas. The whole idea surfaced a couple years ago, but someone has taken it to the next stop and is offering them for $24.99 a piece if you don’t have the technical skills yourself.

They come in 3 flavors… Super Mario/Duck Hunt, Top Gun, and WWF Wrestlemania. Luckily, they didn’t use the cartridge for the $40,000 NES game.

If you’re interested in picking one up, you can check them out here.

We can thank Dean Shorey for this beautiful creation. He’s a fan of the original series and while he’s not building star-fighters is working as a ride mechanic for an Amusement Park in Rochester, NY. Not only does this sound like the origin story for a super villain, it also sounds like an awesome road trip.

The vehicle was constructed from parts of multiple different cars and unfortunately is cursed with no A/C. We assume laser cannons aren’t included. Either way, it looks great and I want to take it for a cruise.

So say we all!

Just when you thought Wii peripherals couldn’t get to be anymore ridiculous, we are graced with the beautiful Wii Soft Football.

There’s been a lot of crap like this in the past, and it’ll only continue as Wii sales continue to be pretty substantial.

There isn’t much to say about this. I mean…. Look at it. It’s horrifying. I can’t imagine a much more useless piece of plastic. The creator’s had this to say about it;

“This soft, realistic accessory, allows you to imitate crucial motions a virtual football game requires,” reads CTA’s product page, calling it “the first [Wii peripheral] of its kind to be fashioned after a squishy, backyard tossing, foam football.”

Yeah… Really.

Sadly, I can’t see this working better then you’re regular Wiimote, especially since the Wii doesn’t really look for all that precise movements anyways. I’m sure this won’t be the last of the failed Wii Peripherals.

Well, they have unveiled its look, and it looks like… A Japanese toy or perhaps, as PC World put it, Air traffic control sticks. I’d have to agree. They are fun looking, I suppose. If you’re into that sort of thing.

What it all comes down to in the end is functionality. The Sony executives made sure to continuously put emphasis on the remotes ‘precise’ movements and it’s ‘precision’. If the PS Move can really deliver a more fluid motion technology then the Wii, then perhaps it can catch the hardcore gamer market for motion remotes.

It’s still far too early to see how it will fair, especially with Project Natal on the horizon as well. They are saying you’ll be able to pick up the full bundle, the camera, controllers, and a game for under $100 bucks.

So, how do you feel about these Sony Wiimote’s with a Kirby skewered on the end?

Drop a line, let us know.

The title says it all… Nearly. Here we have Stadium Events, a game from your childhood that you may or may not be familiar with. A lucky gent recently discovered this NES goldmine and that not only did he own this ultra rare game, but that he owned an unopened copy.

It’s rarity comes from it’s scarcity, not it’s awesomeness. There are apparently only around 2000 copies of this baby in existence, as it was created by Bandai which Nintendo then purchased. Apparently after the purchase, most copies of the game and the required game-mat were destroyed, hence the $41,300 someone recently fetched on E-bay. For me, I love picture this as a dramatic event in some distance secret warehouse with a large fire, however it probably wasn’t so cool.

The seller apparently never opened it because he didn’t have the game-mat. Go figure.

So what’s the moral of this story? Well, either hope that you also have an unopened copy of Stadium Events. Or you could hope that one of your unopened games goes through a corporate buyout problem and some dudes in a warehouse destroy all the other copies… Good luck!

I guess it just goes to show that hoarding nerds don’t always lose.

There are a whole lot of different Wii controllers and add-ons out there. Whether it be a Sword, Gun, or some piece of sporting equipment, they pretty much have everything.

The Wii was missing on Wiimote add-on though. An authentic Ghostbuster Proton pack extension for the Wiimote. It’s fully functional, awesome, and hopefully powered by a semi-nuclear core.

Here’s what the creator had to say about his creation:

Straight from Egon’s lab, after months of Beta testing I bring to you the first ever fully fictional Wii-Proton Pack to be used in conjunction with the Nintentdo Wii version of the Ghostbusters Video game. The cyclotron features four blue LEDs allowing you to know which player is selected or active and the Blue Power Cell actually shows you how much power the pack has. The Thrower has been carefully designed in regards to ergonomics and function. The front of the wand has an area in which you can place the Wii-mote and the back handle is where the Nunchuck is placed. Since the Wii-mote has in internal speaker in it’s ABS housing, when playing the game the pack makes all the iconic Ghostbusters SFX. And being that the Wii utilizes wireless technology, the wand is not tethered to the pack via a cord. I will be shooting some video footage this week and will post it as soon as it’s finished so you can see the pack in action! Thanks for looking!

Awesome. Pictures below!

The “R-Learning” program promises to put creepy, dumb and creepy robot teaching assistants into 400 preschools in South Korea by the year 2012. Did anyone else notice that this is the same year that the world ends? I knew that robots would play a part in the destruction of the earth and the end to all humanity.

This thing is supposed to be able to read stories to youngsters, keep an eye on students and deliver messages to kids from their parents. Hey, that’s cool! People need more robots to read to their children, because it’s too hard for humans to do. Oh, and thank god that they’re introducing and developing this technology for preschool students! Preschool is the most important year of school. There’s lots of finger painting, crapping your pants, and baby-sitting to be done. Also, there are a lot of important messages that need to be delivered to toddlers by there parents throughout the day, that cannot be delivered by some stupid human.

This entire post was sarcastic, by the way.

With that said, these undies are really, really dirty. These tighty-whities are complete with fake s*#t stains! You only have a 4″ X 10″ space to stash your loot in, though, and that space is only secured by Velcro. What kind of a sick freak would search through dirty, skid-marked underwear? Well, besides Wandering Goblin’s Jeff, nobody!
