The original Portal was a huge success. Initally sold as a tag-along title with the Orange Box, it was a fun little puzzling first person shooter and got famous. Rightfully so, as it’s an intriguing, new, and a fun experience that sometimes makes you want to smash your skull into concrete.
Well, for all those that enjoyed the first, the sequel has been officially announced!
“Valve, creators of best-selling game franchises (such as Left 4 Dead, Counter-Strike and Half-Life) and leading technologies (such as Steam and Source), today announced Portal 2 for shipment this coming holiday season.
Portal 2 is the sequel to 2007’s Portal, which won 70 industry achievement awards.”
Awesome! Unfortunately all we have in terms of images is this picture from the cover of a Gameinformer. Another interesting note is that it will have a dual-release on Steam for both Windows and Mac OSX. Nice!
Naturally, when more info is available. We’ll let you know! Try not to dream about too many portals.
