The “R-Learning” program promises to put creepy, dumb and creepy robot teaching assistants into 400 preschools in South Korea by the year 2012.  Did anyone else notice that this is the same year that the world ends?  I knew that robots would play a part in the destruction of the earth and the end to all humanity.

This thing is supposed to be able to read stories to youngsters, keep an eye on students and deliver messages to kids from their parents.  Hey, that’s cool!  People need more robots to read to their children, because it’s too hard for humans to do.  Oh, and thank god that they’re introducing and developing this technology for preschool students!  Preschool is the most important  year of school.  There’s lots of finger painting, crapping your pants, and baby-sitting to be done.  Also, there are a lot of important messages that need to be delivered to toddlers by there parents throughout the day, that cannot be delivered by some stupid human.
