Before you die it’s often advised that one should pick their final resting place….so that you can enjoy it in the afterlife. That sounds so odd. However, it is advised and I shall take such advise.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m going to get cremated. Yeah, yeah, yeah I hear those of your screaming at me, “don’t do it, you’re ruining the environment by leaving the biggest carbon footprint of all…..” Well, death will completely put me in debt, so I’d rather go the cheapo way and “being green” will most likely be the last thing on my mind.
Anywhooooo, when my ashes come home from wherever they spent their vacation. I’m requesting to be put into one of these beauties:

From the Los Angeles Times article:
Funerary urns come in all forms these days, from small keepsake matching sets for easy division among relatives to large sculpture that can contain the whole family — three or four people, all together.
“Each piece is like a person,” said Maureen Lomasney, who runs the Sonoma County gallery Art Honors Life, specializing in funerary vessels. “It’s like you’re at a party. Some people have lampshades on their heads, some are talking very seriously, some are just posing, beautiful and elegantly. They can be whimsical, stately, charming. Each has character.”

These urns come from a site called Funeria.com and there’s more to choose from if any of these strike your fancy. And truly, shouldn’t you enjoy where you’re going to be “put”. I’m a huge fan of the old school vending machine. I may invest in it. If anyone wants some of my cremains, it’ll be 25 cents! Or perhaps I will choose a more subdued Death Star urn.
