New Battlestar Galactica Series Caprica Begins

We love us some Battlestar Galactica. Whether it be picking up on references on the latest episode of 30 Rock, highlighting the real-life career of Cylon Model 6 or discussing Cylon evolution. We can’t help but love those robots bent on our own terrible destruction.

Well, there’s a new show premiering tonight on ‘SyFy’ that is a prequel to the re-imagined Ronald D. Moore Battlestar Galactica that wrapped up last year. It begins 58 years prior to the show and highlights the Adama and Graystone families as they begin to create the first Cylons and humanoid robots.

The series isn’t a space-opera like the original, and will focus more on political conflicts and family drama based on the world of Caprica. It’s still created by Mr. Moore, so hopefully we’ll be treated with the same excellent story-telling.

You can view the full pilot at the Syfy website here if you are so inclined! Check it out!

I hope the music to be as epic as the original series. Those drum rolls can get your blood pumping.
