At CES this past week, there were a fair number of doohickeys (and yes, that is a technical term) that were designed to be controlled via the iPhone.  I’m not sure why, exactly, but a good number of technical people have seemed to simultaneously developed this exact same idea, and presented it at CES.

I’m not sure how I feel about this.  First off, the control scheme seems a little awkward to me.  However, this may be offset by the whole James Bond factor.  You know, attach a machine gun or a chain saw to it, and the whole remote controlled killer hover death machine thing is just cool.   (Now I just have to find myself a machine gun.)
