Dragon Age Or
igins is an extremely fun game and is very adept at making you realize you just blew five hours gaming, and BioWare is a competent developer, knowing their games are like crack and DAO already feels large enough, especially with the downloadable-content you can pickup. Well, they didn’t just create a bad-ass new IP for nothing. They’ve announced the first expansion pack for DAO called, Awakening.
The game was just announced today and the projected release date is March 19, 2010. Looks like we won’t have to wait very long to start crushing orc faces and slaying dragons again.
The story is set to take place directly after the end of the original game. You can upload your character from the previous title, or start a new character with a new origin story. There will be 5 new recruit-able party members, 1 favorite old hero from the previous game (who, we don’t know), new spells & abilities, a hi
gher level cap, new & smarter enemies, and with a plot designed to be about discovering the true nature of the Dark Spawn and an enemy only called, the Architect.
Hooray! Sounds like we’ll be killing a lot more beasts. There’s nothing more gratifying then finishing a dungeon crawl with a heap of nice new loot and looking at your team completely smothered in the enemies blood. We’ll keep you posted as more details emerge.
