In 1978, George Lucas thought that a “Star Wars Holiday Special” was a good idea.

It wasn’t.

Quite frankly, the show was horrible.  Sappy, nostalgic, with ooey-gooey feelings mashed onto some familiar Star Wars themes – it was truly, deeply bad.  Thankfully, it still exists on the ol’ interwebz, and we felt compelled to bring this debacle to you.  Personally, I like the parts where Princess Leia sings about “Life Day”, and the Chewbacca family apparently says grace at the dinner table.  (You know, because Wookies are religious…).  Anyway, without further ado, here is a nice excerpt from The Star Wars Holiday Special:
