Waaaay back in the day, Marvel superheros had their own cartoon TV shows. While most people are familiar with the Spider-Man cartoon, many of the other shows have now faded into obscurity. Well, the good folks over at The Retroist dug up the opening sequences for each of the Marvel cartoons. For an old guy like me, these brought back the memories.
Unfortunately, some of those memories involve the utterly atrocious theme songs that were produced for these iconic characters. Boy, those songs sucked. Want proof? Here you go:

There is one gem in the bunch, and it’s the Spider Man theme:
Of course, there are others. The Submariner had a show (I had no idea), as did the Fantastic Four, Thor, and an apparent Avengers show, called “The Marvel Super Heroes”. The opening tunes for each are horrible. Feel free to check them out over at The Retroist.

I think the 70’s and early 80’s theme song fairy dropped waaaaaay too much acid. Most of the songs were horrible and made no sense.
