Word on the street is that Hasbro has held a Star Wars: The Clone Wars diorama contest. Remember building shoebox diorama’s from your fifth grade lessons? Well, this is ten times better and full of more win than the special olympics. If someone had made one of these in my fifth grade class, I would’ve thought they were the coolest kid in school, and then of course watched them get their butt beat by the school bully in the alley, but hey, that’s life.
How I never knew about this contest is puzzling to me. I had my own JarJar Binks vs. a guillotine (guess who loses?) diorama that I could have submitted. Oh well, guess I’ll have to wait until next year. Lucas probably won’t like it and he’ll come and punch me in the knee cap for doing it, but it will be worth it.
Sadly, Hasbro is no longer accepting submissions but you can see the finalists and vote for your favorite one on the main Hasbro site. Voting ends on November 16th, so get over there and cast away. Also, be sure to check back on November 20th to see the results. It’s not surprising that my vote went to the Sith Reunion, poor Darth, at least he was able to celebrate with some bubbly and dancing.
