Disney has decided that Pirates of Caribbean hasn’t made them enough sweet action/adventure movie money and are looking for more. They’ve decided to cast Jake Gyllenhaal or Donnie Darko the Time-Traveler as Prince Dastan… The Prince of Persia? Interesting.
The trailer looks like it could be a fun filled adventure although hinging on cliches. It’s almost amusing to treat the trailer as quest text from World of Warcraft. Seriously, listen to that narrator explaining what they need to do.
“We must take the dagger to the secret guardian temple.”

I wonder if the plot twist will end up that the Prince of Persia actually IS Donnie Darko the Time Traveler? Talk about a Shyamalan ending! Joking aside… The movie looks to have a much larger production value then most other video game movies out there, which gives hope for the pending WoW movie.
