Darth Vader: Galactic Overlord and Orchestra Conductor [Video]

During a recent performance by the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra, Micheal Krajewski conducted the playing of the Imperial March by John Williams.  The theme of the evening was cinematic music, so the Imperial March – better known as Darth Vader’s theme – was certainly an appropriate and moving choice.

The surprise came midway through the performance, when Vader himself appears from backstage.  After assessing the performance, he pushes Mr. Krajewsky off the podium and begins to conduct the orchestra personally.

Of course, as the pieces ends, it’s Vader (and not Krajewsky) that takes the bows.  [The action starts at about 3:30]
