THIS Is How Customer Service In the Video Games Industry Should Be Done.

A gamer named TipToe is a fan of the upcoming (and, quite frankly, extremely promising) action RPG made by Runic Games, Torchlight.  Due to a medical condition, she can’t play any games with a camera shake feature.  She asked a question about this on the Torchlight forums.  A Runic developer read her post, and added an option to turn camera shake off, just for her.

Now that, ladies and gentlemen, is customer service.  Wowza.

Torchlight Vanquisher

Torchlight is set to be released to an eager public on October 27th, and it looks like they’re going to make that deadline.  That means that this is crunch time for developer Runic, and that makes this effort all the more amazing.  Despite the fact that they’re uber busy at the moment, they still took the time to recode the game so one gamer could play.

We got some hands on time with the game at this year’s E3, and it’s a winner.  On top of that, the developers are a bunch of nice guys (as this story already proves), and have an extremely solid pedigree when it comes to making action RPGs.  If you’re the kind that enjoys some fast paced, highly destructive fun, Torchlight may be very much to your liking.  If you’d like to find out a bit more about Torchlight, go here.
