World of Warcraft has for the most part been completely offline in China since June 7th. Blizzard decided they wanted to switch operators in China. Well, we covered that story in July. The somewhat late good news is that it’s finally resolved as of yesterday! Woo hoo! After a bunch of internal testing, they have finally managed to re-open their doors in largest market share of the MMO market.
Hip hip hooray! It’s back to gold-farming.
It is interesting to note that Blizzard has not posted one official announcement in English on the issue. True enough, it’s not effecting us over here in North America, but when a company’s biggest cash cow isn’t cashing the cow in the largest market share, you’d think we’d see something about it.
