Niel Tyson is a fairly famous guy.  In addition to being an astrophysicist and the director of the Hayden Planetarium, he’s also the host of NOVA’s ScienceNOW television show.  You’d think that with all that brainpower, he’d be boring and bone-dry.  Not so – Niel’s got quite the friendly, very humorous personality.

In this clip, Niel is asked if he believes in UFOs, and it causes something of an outburst of polite mockery.  Niel goes off about arguments from ignorance, the value of eyewitness testimony, and your average abduction story.  His answer is both intelligent and funny, and he manages to pretty much call into question the whole idea that UFOs are visiting the earth and kidnapping random people.  Check it out.
