Random Geeky News Bits

A few things have cropped up in geek news today, and I thought you’d you like to hear about them. Here goes:

Dungeons and Dragons Online has now changed things up quite a bit, and gone free to play. They’ve introduced a bunch of new content to go along with this change (new level cap, a new class, etc), and it’s a modern, full-featured MMO, so give this one a try if you’re so inclined.

Rambo V may be in the works, but this time with a twist.  Rambo doesn’t merely fight terrorists in this one, he fights genetically modified werewolves.  Yes, really.

Eve Online is embroiled in yet another scandal this week.  One of the members of the Council of Stellar Management, the elected representatives for the players, has compromised his position.  It seems he got a hold of some confidential information, and managed to turn that into 5 billion isk.  That’s quite a lot of in-game moolah.

There’s a nice gallery of pics from this past weekend’s Dragon Con.  As always, it’s geekarific.

The Beatles: Rock Band went on sale today.  ‘Nuff said.
