A professional prop maker named Harrison Krix decided to devote himself to a most noble task – building a Big Daddy costume! Harrison goes all out on this one, molding the helm, the mini-portholes, a working hand, a functional drill arm, and every other imaginable detail. As the gallery below attests, it’s truly impressive.
Harrison does a great job of describing every step of the process on his blog, including lots of photos. It’s quite a bit of work, and his eye for detail is amazing. The costume has the real feel of a Big Daddy; it even comes across as clunky and heavy.
By the way, Harrison takes commisions. If you’ve ever wanted someone to build you that Big Sister costume (you’d be the first!), a functional battle mech, or maybe an AT-ST to walk around in, he’s the man.
