Blizzard has come out to announce, in a very nonchalant way, that their new MMO is obviously going to be a new IP and that they obviously already told this and we should clearly already know. Really? “We’ve already stated it’ll be a brand new franchise,” said an official for Blizzard on their forums. So… When was this exactly? Either way, they said not to expect any new info soon because it’s currently just a “shell of a game” and that based on their previous history with titles, we shouldn’t hold our breath.

In other Blizzard taking over the world news, their new Arthas book is 16th on the NY Times best-seller list. Congratulations, Arthas! You’re a hit! Well, at least that’s pretty good considering the title to be a fantasy title based off a game. Then again, it’s not just a game these days… It’s Warcraft. It could smash small countries.

Lastly there is a new Sci-Fi movie coming out with everyone’s favorite King Leonidas, Gerard Butler, who will be starring.. The plot is as follows; everyone is part of a huge massive multiplayer online game. Basically, it sounds pretty bat-shit crazy as people can control other people, there’s mind control and MMOs in general have turned into some sort of insane dimension rather then a fun escape with friends.
