New PAX Info Announced

The Penny Arcade Expo is, arguably, the greatest gaming convention in the world.  There’s just a vibe to it – it’s a by gamers, for gamers event – that is just fun, cool, and relaxed, all at the same time.  It’s a most unconventional convention.

One of the many happy geeks at last year’s PAX.

Well, today the good people from PAX announced several things:

1) Registration is now open.  Don’t wait, be the first on your block to sign up!

2) They signed six geekariffic bands to perform at this year’s PAX: Anamanaguchi, Freezepop, JoCo, MC Frontalot, Metroid Metal and Paul & Storm.

3)  They’ve signed a bunch of new exhibitors as well:  The Behemoth, Bethesda, Bioware, Blizzard, Capcom, CCP Games, EA, Foundation 9, Microsoft, Mythic, Nintendo, NC Soft, Rockstar, Telltale, Turbine, Ubisoft, Upper Deck, Valve, and WB Games.  While most of these are expected to make an appearance at any sizeable con, they’re additing to a lineup of game developers people will want to see.

PAX takes place September 4th-6th in Seattle, Washington.   You can sign up for the con right here.  If you’d like a feel for the event, you can always catch some of our coverage from last year (Our Champions Online interview?  Perhaps a mysterious live questA nice chat with Josh Drescher about Warhammer?  Take your pick!)  PAX is a great show; if you’re thinking about attending, don’t wait to sign up.
