Blizzard’s Big Bronze Orc, Installed

Blizzard recently opened its new offices in Orange County, California.  The facility is an impressive one; it’s a multi-building campus, providing all the space Blizz needs to work on Starcraft II, Diablo III, the unnamed MMO they keep hinting at, and WoW’s ongoing expansions.  It’s also got a nice museam of past Blizzard accomplishments and, by all accounts, a nice cafeteria.  (We recommend the rosemary chicken.  Yummy.)

There was one thing missing, however.  A big bronze statue of an orc riding a gigantic wolf was promised, but never installed.  Up until now, we’ve only seen the miniature version.  Well now the full sized statue is complete, having been built by none other than WETA Digital, the people that did the special effects for King Kong and The Lord of the Rings.  A slideshow of the installation can be found at the OC Register site, and a video (FF to 15:20 if you don’t want to watch the whole thing) is embedded below the cut.
