The return of Battlestar Galactica to TV was a simply awesome event, and this past Friday’s show contained some major plot twists. One of those twists involves the gun-to-the-head suicide of one of the show’s main characters. In the video below, you get to see the horribly-placed commercial [at 2:20] that follows the tragic scene.
This is either horrid or hilarious, depending on both your perspective and level of derangement. Check it out [warning: spoilers] if you’re so inclined.

Just curious if there are articles, blogs…you know, stuff written by you on this site.
Oh my god.
You’re a robot.

Well…
I wrote MMO Weekly – a 1200 words, multipage feature-length article – just yesterday. It’s on the front page of the site. Since we have a six day old baby in the house, that along with the day-to-day entertaining entries have been keeping me pretty busy.
I agree we’re an unconventional blog; but most folks find the meta content entertaining. That’s kind of the point, since we’re trying to entertain them. I’m guessing you don’t find it so.
BTW, Elvyra says ‘hi’. She’s still recovering from the surgery and hasn’t written anything all week. She’s also wanted to apologize to you, personally, for that, and promises that she’ll be writing again soon.
I took it no way, shape or form.
I asked because I seriously wondered if anything was written on the site. Every time I see a link to this site, it is a link to something else.
If that’s your thang, cool. Massively does it, too. I get plenty of info from sites like that.
Just checkin’ to see if a person was involved is all. I guess so! lol

Yeah, we really are a staff of writers, not bots. Elvy and I have been writing for other sites for years before we started this puppy.
While we have a strong MMO emphasis, our primary focus is to entertain gamers. We actually pride ourselves on our ability to find the most obscure nonsense imaginable. Many of our posts are poised that way; just funny stuff we think our fellow game geeks will enjoy.
Dude the mmo weekly was just all your post here pasted into one article.
And if this commercial really aired right after that scene its hillarious
Nuh uh, is not!
And yeah, the soup after the shooting is just plain poor taste (although certainly unintentional by the station), but morbidly humorous.

Unfortunately the video is no longer playable \due to a copyright claim from NBC Universal\ which I think is plain silly. I don’t think the claim would hold water because of the length of the clip being used and the purpose (to demonstrate bad commercial placement and why). Has anyone found the clip anywhere else? – Joe
