World of Warcraft has some big class changes ahead per a lot of the updated information coming out of Blizzards WWI. By big, I don’t mean a couple of new spells and abilities or some new talents that add 5% dodge. I mean jaw droppingly awesome, eye bulging changes. Some of these changes are so intense, that we goblins are no longer sure if we’re alive or stuck in some sort of perpetual dream that has decided it wants to make our heads explode over and over for forever. Don’t take our word for it, check some of them out yourself…
- Hunters PETS are getting their own talent trees
- Priests are getting a form of CC and a cheat death spell
- Entangling roots INDOORS
- Totems will have effect entire raids
- Shamans are getting a CC
- Rogues are getting an AoE and more viable sap
- Warriors get to dual-wield 2H weapons
- Warlocks are getting a demon form with AoE shadowbolts
So there you have it. There’s going to be warriors running around with 2 giant axes in each hand fighting with giant shadowbolt spamming demons. Yep, chaos. Utter, utter chaos. Chaos aside, the changes seem awesome. WotLK is definitely throwing in some changes to classes that I don’t think anyone was really anticipating. Blizzard is taking the stance of using this opportunity to address a lot of class concerns and seems to really be trying to make multiple talent specs, abilities, and classes in general more valuable and viable for raids. Some of these changes they’re announcing seem to be changes some people have been asking for since the dawn of WoW. We can’t wait to learn more, and we will continue to salivate as we anticipate the madness. These changes may indeed bring utter destruction to the land of Azeroth, woot!
