Science + WOW = ????

James Wallis who is a game developer that has worked on some pep and paper titles such as Warhammer and Nobilis, who is also a writer and a journalist has recently created a lovely little presentation titled; Brave Noob World. The presentation has decided to take it upon itself to try and bring science, logic, and all that good stuff into a world filled with dragons, paladins, and of course relentless magical combat. Yes, science has decided to grace itself on the World of Warcraft.

Yes! I’ve finally managed to mimic my mages level 8 fireball!

James has eloquently decided to try and use mathematics to discover what the actual size of Azeroth would be. He also goes to try and discover some other interesting little scientific details in the world. It seems as MMOs continue to grow and become more and more a part of society that they are being studied more, used in sociological studies, and even in medical studies. It’s exciting to see MMOs continue to be thrown to the mainstream and become more acceptable, popular, and just downright awesome as time progresses. Soon celebrities will be promoting what they’re favorite MMOs are to all of us.

Shaq plays EVE Online, and so should you!

The video has some good laughs and James definitely tries to present his study in a comedic way. We goblins think he has a darn good sense of humor to boot. If you’re into viewing WOW scientifically, have some spare time, or just want some chuckles… Check it out below!
