It seems like just yesterday that we learned that “I Am Murloc” would soon be a downloadable song for Guitar Hero III. (Oh, wait. It really was yesterday). Well, now the long wait is over. Your dreams have come true. Guitar Hero III now has , “I am Murloc” by Elite Tauren Chieftain, ready to download.

As it turns out, someone had already beat Activision-Blizzard to the punch and made a custom version of the song on Guitar Hero II. Thanks to the wonderful world of youtube, you can check it out below. If you haven’t heard its hard MURrocking (yeah, I went there ) goodness, that is.

As of today, of course, you no longer need to play a bootlegged, GHII version of “I Am Murloc”. The official GHIII version has gone live. Yes, two great games with maddening popularity have now decided to have an official cross over, sure to bring wondrous joy to a multitude of Warcraft Rockstars. What’s more, this is a free download! What’s better than playing your favorite murloc rock song for FREE? Sounds like a hoot.

Update: Wowza, the song has only been out for a few hours, but someone has already 5-starred “I Am Murloc” on the expert setting. Check it out:

Personally, I always found the lyric, “I am the king of the sea, not a queen like Aquaman,” to be inspiring.
