Well, faithful friends, the big day is finally here. The new WanderingGoblin.com site is finally done and going live!

This has been a long, long road. Our old site was plagued with challenges — broken code, performance issues, and other whatnot — so this new site should fix oh-so-many of those problems. It’s also a much more robust build, and it brings all new levels of functionality to Wandering Goblin, which we are all pretty darned excited about. Because we haven’t fully tested everything yet, internally we’re calling this a beta. There may be a few bumps in the road as we sort our some (hopefully) minor issues, but over the next little while, we’ll get these little things sorted out.

This is our hot new server, infused with necromantic powers. Architecture like this is not easy to install, folks.

Rest assured, we’re not changing the things you’ve come to love about Wandering Goblin. As we’ve done for the past 18 months, we’re going to continue to bring you the most oddball, funny, and outrageous stories in massive multiplayer online gaming. We still refuse to cover the lame-o stories found elsewhere — you know, “news” about staff hirings (oh boy!), earnings reports (how exciting!) or minor legal squabbles (wowza!). In addition, the insightful reporting (with actual fact checking, apparently a novelty in our industry!) will still be here, as will all the ranting and raving and outbursts by certain members of our staff.

Yes, we’re newer and hotter than ever before.

This is an exciting time, and a busy day, here at the goblin HQ.? (We’re going to be pretty tied up porting over content from the old site.)? But enough of all that — we’re going to get cracking and give you what you come to Wandering Goblin for — funny, quirky, entertaining news about MMO gaming.
